The Mark III was equipted with power everything interior, as far as exterior goes it had a 460 ci engine (at put out 365 hp at the wheels), a 429ci enigne, three speed auto, limited slip was available,power steering, power brakes, cruise control, and anti-lock brakes.
When the Mark III was produced in late 1968(1/2) 7,000 were sold.(Seven thousand was a very good number of cars sold for that motor division.) Lincoln had always been behind Cadillac, but when the Mark III was produced they were catching up at a remarkable rate. So the Lincoln Mark III was the revival car of the Lincoln branch of Ford.
